Job Title: Afterhours Logistics Dispatcher & Carrier Operation Coordinator
Department: Logistics / Operations
Reports To: Operations / Logistics Supervisor
Location: Tse Addo, Accra

Role Summary:
The Afterhours Logistics Dispatcher is responsible for managing all after-hours logistics operations, ensuring timely communication, load coordination, and accurate documentation across all platforms (TruckTrail, Clerk SMS, Teams, WhatsApp, and email). This role ensures seamless load tracking, driver coordination, and client satisfaction outside standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage after-hours logistics operations, including dispatching, load tracking, and driver coordination.
  • Communicate with drivers, brokers, and internal teams regarding load updates, delays, or issues.
  • Collect, verify, and upload all required documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and Proof of Delivery (POD).
  • Maintain and update TruckTrail and other internal systems with accurate load and driver information.
  • Ensure timely client updates on driver and load status according to company protocols.
  • Handle escalation of minor and major issues, including missed deliveries, rejected loads, or system failures.
  • Process accessorials, TONU, detention claims, and lumper payments in coordination with brokers.
  • Document all communications, updates, and handovers for continuity and audit purposes.
  • Prepare end-of-shift reports summarizing completed, pending, and unresolved tasks.
  • Collaborate with day team to ensure smooth handovers and continuous operational coverage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and proactive escalation abilities.
  • Basic tech literacy and experience using logistics software, CRM tools, or digital tracking systems.
  • Ability to follow detailed SOPs and maintain operational consistency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with drivers, brokers, and internal teams.
  • Commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism in all client-facing and internal communications.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Prior experience in logistics dispatching, CRM coordination, or transport operations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with TruckTrail, Clerk SMS, or similar logistics management platforms is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work afterhours and adapt to changing operational demands.
