Preschool Teacher Assistant

Job Summary

We are a Christian School seeking a caring, responsible, and values-driven Preschool Teacher Assistant to support classroom activities and contribute to a nurturing, disciplined, and faith-based learning environment. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with young children, demonstrate strong Christian values, and support the lead teacher in delivering structured, child-centred learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Preschool Teacher in daily classroom activities

• Assist with Montessori and age-appropriate learning tasks

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and disciplined classroom environment

• Support pupils' social, emotional, and moral development

• Assist with monitoring and documenting pupil progress

• Help organise learning materials and classroom resources

• Communicate respectfully with pupils, staff, and parents as required

Requirements

• Diploma or WASSCE certificate holder

• Experience working with young children is an advantage

• Good written and spoken English communication skills

• Practising Christian with strong values and love for young children

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Proximity to Achimota or its surrounding areas is preferred
